Brother Piotr Wardawy

Brother Piotr Wardawy is a member of the Friars Minor Capuchin order of monks. As a child he became inspired by “a mediaeval Saint” (St Francis of Assisi) to help the needy and made the decision to follow in his footsteps early in life. Today he works with Warsaw’s poor and homeless, aware of how their daily difficulties have impacted their lives but grateful for the opprtunity to, as he says “not so much work with the homeless as be there with them, and for them.” With his bretheren and a small band of dedicated volunteers they feed three hundred men and women every day.
