Stephen Kines

Stephen Kines is a technology, media & telecoms (TMT) lawyer ranked by Euromoney in 2009 as one of the top 10 TMT lawyers in the world. He has advised entrepreneurs and foreign investors in a large volume of TMT transactions in Central and Eastern Europe over the past 14 years and is the managing partner of a large international law firm whose Warsaw office is the largest in CEE. For two years recently Stephen was chief evangelist and VP legal/business for a CE tech company’s US operations based in the Silicon Valley and acted on the highest ROI venture capital deal in CEE but mostly he likes collaborating with talented start-ups in launching their ideas into the world. Stephen is a father of three and when not traveling he is at home with his family in Frydek-Mistek on the Czech / Polish / Slovak border where good snowboarding is close by, beer is still cheap and it is the place he first landed 20 years ago when he left Canadian politics to follow Vaclav Havel.
